Problem
The bushes planted in front of the house have become overgrown and look unsightly.
What you can do
- borrow (or buy from Deards hardware shop in Old Kent Rd) a pair of seceteurs or, if the wood of the bushes is thick, a small saw
- cut the bushes back to a reasonable size
- put the cuttings in the bags from the council that are for organic/garden waste
Extra tips
Don't let the bushes get too big!
Buddleia plants - like the one in the photo - actually grow better and have better flowers if they are cut down close to the ground each March. They grow back quickly and produce more flowers that attract the butterflies. See this site.
